Toners, in general, were originally created to restore pH balance to the skin after a harsh cleanser had stripped it of its moisture. Problem skin usually has enough oil but often not enough hydration. The purpose of Immaculate Mist is to provide hydration (which is different from a moisturizer)and protection while reducing the appearance of redness and fighting against ongoing conditions that can occur with problem skin. It should be applied to clean skin in 2-3 light mists, before applying your moisturizer.

If you are in search of more hydration then I would suggest trying SIRCUIT's Molecular Mist. I have oily skin myself but only with the occasional breakout. Molecular Mist provides more hydration than Immaculate Mist containing both Heavy Water (D2O) and L-Arginine PCA (which out performs Sodium PCA in bringing moisture to the skin) while protecting from free radicals & environmental stressors. But, for those of us with that seek hydration but also have the occasional skin issue, it does help reduce skin sensitivity as it calms irritations and helps to control mild acne bacteria.

I hope this helps!
